Privacy Policy
OmniLift ・ Effective date: October 20, 2026
This policy explains how m2o works (“we”) handles your information in the macOS app “OmniLift” (the “App”).
1. Overview
The App saves files on your Mac to your own Google Drive in Google formats (Sheets, Docs and Slides).
- We do not receive your files, your Google account information or your usage. We do not operate any servers for the App.
- The App does not show ads, track you, or collect analytics.
2. Information the App handles
| Information | Purpose | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google account email address | To show which account you are signed in with | On your Mac only |
| Google sign-in credentials (access and refresh tokens) | To save files to your Google Drive | In your Mac's Keychain only |
| Files you choose, or new files that arrive in folders you enabled for automatic conversion | To save them to your Google Drive. Temporary copies made during conversion are deleted afterwards | Your own Google Drive (sent over HTTPS) |
| Identifiers (hashes) computed from a file's name and contents | To open or update the previous file when you convert the same file again. The file name itself is not stored | Properties attached to the converted file in your Google Drive, readable only by the App |
| Settings (destination, language, automatic conversion) and today's free conversion count | For the App to work | On your Mac only |
3. Use of Google user data
The App uses information received from Google APIs only to save your files and to list the files and folders the App created. The App requests only the drive.file scope, which allows access only to files created or opened by the App. It cannot read any other files in your Drive.
OmniLift's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not use information from Google APIs for advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.
- No human, including us, reads that information.
4. Purchases
OmniLift Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. We do not receive your payment information. The App uses the purchase record issued by Apple only to check whether you have purchased it.
5. Feature requests
If you open the request form from the App, only the file extension, the App version and the macOS version are filled in (no file names or contents). You decide whether to submit it. Submitted requests are used only to improve the App.
6. Deleting your information
- To revoke Google access, sign out in the App or remove OmniLift in your Google Account's Third-party apps & services.
- To remove settings from your Mac, delete the App and then delete
~/Library/Containers/com.m2o-works.omnilift. - Files saved to Google Drive belong to you. Delete them in Google Drive when you no longer need them.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children.
8. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
